That's a pity. The very same hotel (but a very different management) supplied quite reasonable wine the year before, plus they ended up funding Charlie Stross's party by way of apology for taking up one of our facility rooms on the Friday. As it was, the convention chipped in a few more bottles to keep the party spirit going, but it was a great hotel team to negotiate with. Novacon 38 hit the new owners head on, which is why Novacon 39 is being held in Nottingham.
